Guys and Gals,
Count me in as a soon to be submersive owner, espresso finish, in a week or two.  I am really excited, I can't hardly stand it....but all of you have been in my shoes and know what I mean.
I may need your  help in dialing in the sub for equalization once it arrives and I can take some frequency readings.

WhooHoo!!!

I would suggest working out for a couple of weeks to make sure your back is in shape for arrival.

LOL, good advice.  I will probably elect to use the "move the microphone method" instead of the "move heavy sub method" for initial room positioning EQ frequency measurements to save the wear and tear on my back.

The monster arrived today, espresso finish!!

Great packaging, great finish, and heavy as heck.  Thankfully, it has passed the initial WAF review.  Two quick pictures I took are attached.  I hope they attached because I have not posted pictures before.  If they attach, sorry about the quality, but the lighting was bad.

As soon as I can, I will post my listening impressions and post some EQ graphs, but it may be a while as I am so busy right now.  I can't wait to get this monster hooked up and EQ'd.

That looks fantastic. You can tell the finish is first rate.  Can't wait to hear your thoughts.
I simply love this stuff.

Hi Chris,

Great to hear things arrived safely and you and the wife are both impressed thus far.

For those reading along, the pictures of the espresso and red finishes posted last week included the exact subwoofer above just before we boxed them up.

Do stick around Chris and be sure to give us your listening impressions.

Enjoy!

Yes, thanks Mark, it all arrived in good shape.  The packaging is very good, I can tell because it looks like FedEx gave the box a couple of pretty good shots with a baseball bat but the contents inside (the monster) were well protected.

After looking at the two pics I posted, the first pic gives a better idea of the tone of the color of the finish than the second pic.  In the second pic, the camera flash artificially lightened up the color making the tone look more light than it really is.  But the second pic does show the details of the finish veneer and finish a little better.  And as you would imagine, it looks really fantastic in person (hence my WAF approval)!!

Hot Diggity!  I'll be in possession of my very own black-oak SubMersive sometime tomorrow--hopefully before I leave for my out-of-state trip... Despite Mark and my best efforts, FedEx has managed to mess up a carefully orchestrated arrival here.  Oh well, waiting is all part of the fun.

At least Mark's packing is proving strong enough to handle their abuse.

So, have you powered it up?!?!  Let's hear some listening impressions, eh?
