With a massive section of the Grand Ballroom C this year at AXPONA 2017, I had 4 F18s out for assembly and testing.  We will be putting 8 of these rosenut beauties to use in our room this year in two 8' tall tower assemblies. [eek]  [cool]

I thought I'd share a few pictures I grabbed while they were out:

[Axp-F18-4prep-2]
[Axp-F18-4prep-5]
[Axp-F18-4prep-4]
I haven't had the rosenut F18s out and available for photos often enough so I did quickly play with some lighting for some solo shots:

As you can see here, these are all brand new units going into the show, and yes, they will be available for purchase.  These are normally $2595 for the F18+ and $1395 for the F18-Slave.  We will have 2 F18+ units and 6 F18-Slaves at Axpona, but can load the slave cabinets with an amplifier if we have a few people who want these + units.  They can ship out the week following Axpona.  Remember we are hand carrying these to the show which is about 7 miles from our warehouse at the Westin O'Hare.  Pricing for these demonstration units will be (+shipping):

Rosenut F18+ - $2295
Rosenut F18-Slave - $1095

If you are itching for 2 or more slave units with an F18+, I'll can offer a little further savings. E-mail or give us a call if you are interested.

In case someone jumps up thinking about black vs the rosenut, I can confirm we will be running a sale through the end of May offering $100 savings per F18+ or F18-Slave.

This brings a black maple F18+ down to $2195 and a black maple F18-slave down to $995.  With a few sales this week we ran through most of the amplifiers coming in, so new orders will be available to ship by the week of May 1st.

I do think they came out rather sharp. I know many aren't sure about the black face on the veneered enclosure when just hearing the description but we're hardly the first to do it, and it has the benefit of a black face around any projector or screen, but the quality finish and nice look is readily apparent when walking in or around a room if the subs are out in the open.

Only a couple weeks ago a long time customer drove out to pick up his 4 new F18 subwoofers which were the first F18s to be run in espresso cherry.  It's a more subtle, but rather classy and sleek look in my opinion, and of course they always look better in person.  Here were a few shots I took before we packed them up for their long drive home:

Here we have a few more showing pictures of the set of 4 F18s we ran for a customer in our golden cherry finish which shows a higher contrast.  Of course plenty like the simple black, but it's nice to have some interesting options and personalize these beasts as you like:

Thanks Kain,

The F18s do come with magnetic grills.  You can see the 4 large, 3/8" flat head screws which secure the 1 1/8" thick, solid face plate.  The 4 grill magnets stick to the 4 large screw heads keeping the grill in place.  They hold very well, with the only limit being they need a little help to get perfectly square on the face, but once square, they aren't going anywhere.  Good pictures with the grills on are tough without lots of extra light.  I'll be sure to grab some better ones next time I have an opportunity.

Here is a little lighter look at the front of an espresso F18 with the grill on:

It's tough to decide which looks better, but for me the golden cherry would probably come out on top. But I suppose that's like asking "so which of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends is your favorite?".  The answer, of course, is "all of them!".

Well said, I can only imagine what a full Seaton setup sounds like, I wish I could make it to the show to find out and I had really wanted to this year but family issues prevents it.

Nothing like you have ever heard before.  I had a 7.4 all Seaton system and it blew everyone away who heard it.  Why don't I own it any longer?   Because my requirements for the slim line Sparks did not match availability dates and I wanted to finish my theater.
