Received my 12s and 8 and doing some setup and listening.

Mark one question I have regarding the amps. They idle at around 115 deg.F

Since these do not have an auto on feature, what do you recommend as far as leaving them powered on or turning them off.

What do you think about using a powerstrip connected to a triggered power switch such as a Niles APC-3?

They make that 65" Panny look small.

I prefer a switched receptacle, as to any relay type approach.

Simple, reliable, and effective, ... most of all, no impediment to instantaneous current delivery.

Every time I see those Cat 12's in that color I wished I had a way to use that color but a black and grey room plus cherry speakers don't match well.

A recommendation:  If you pull the speakers a bit further into the room you should get much better imaging.  The hard acoustic bounce off your TV screen will most certainly mess with the imaging.  I can't tell how large your room is or how far you sit from the speakers but give it a whirl and see what happens.

Ask Mike Duke about that.  He did it and got a huge improvement.

Hi Guys,

I already made a very similar post in the HP+/F2+ thread and wanted to add the same here. I would like to thank everyone for the great interest and pick up of the new SubMersive HP+/F2+ and international SubMersive HPi+/F2i+ options.  While it's only September 24th, we have already exceeded past record sales for the month, and last month wasn't too far behind.  While I have done my best to push suppliers early enough to keep ahead, a few outside factors have us a bit behind, along with the realities of delivering the nearly 60 items currently ordered and waiting to be shipped (half of which are for another Australian group buy).  A huge project for our cabinet shop with a major retailer has finally moved out of our way and we will be catching up very quickly over the next 2-3 weeks.

In the next day or two I'll update the product availability thread, as this morning we took orders which committed the last of the black oak HP style SubMersives we have arriving next week, while we're down to one last black maple cabinet, with our next batches arriving in 2-3 weeks.

Thanks again for all the support and patience as we catch up!

Before I made it to that update the last black maple SubMersive is now spoken for as well. [crazy]

I have updated the first thread with lead times for *NEW ORDERS*.  As stated at the top of the first post, the posted lead times do not indicate a change in quoted lead times unless communicated separately.  Those with orders already placed were lucky enough to grab units on hand or already scheduled to arrive.

As there were quite a few things to update with the new "+" and "slave" options, I'm sure I missed a detail or option here or there and will continue to polish things up over time.

Please note all SubMersive F2 cabinets are now standard with only the rear amplifier locations.  We do try to keep stock of a few black oak and black maple cabinets with all 3 optional amplifier locations (sides and rear).  While these are not normally stocked, we currently have a handful of red & espresso cherry veneered SubMersive F2 cabinets on hand which were unintentionally cut with the optional side amplifier locations and block off plates.  These are available for shipping within 2 business days at a $250 savings, ie $2595 for an F2+, or $1395 for a slave unit (shipping Nov 18th).  I'll post up a few pictures later.

While I had updated the first post last Friday, today I noticed some updates to the forum software had killed many of the links in the lists such as those linking to photos.  Those have been fixed and updated.

While we are still catching up from some of the busiest months in our history (August-Oct), we will have input plates for the slave units back in stock Monday, Nov 18th with many more on their way the week following as all but a few plates in the first batch are spoken for.  The lead times posted will all be coming down quickly, these are mostly static dates which we will approach quickly in the next few weeks.  I'm sure there will be more than a few updates in the coming weeks.

I will add a last notice that I am forecasting that our current stockpile of SubMersive 15" drivers will be run through some time in December.  I have asked to push our planned re-stocking of drivers in January to be bumped to December before our OEM shuts down for the holidays, but there is no guarantee this will happen.  I suspect waiting much past Dec. 6th or 13th will be rolling the dice on delivery before the holidays unless we receive our shipment before the end of the year.  Fair warning has been given!

Once again thank you all for your support and enthusiasm! [smile]

Hi All,

Please note late last week I updated the first post of this thread with current lead times on various SubMersive HP & F2 versions.  We will have limited stock of many more finishes next week and the week following with more inventory right behind those to keep lead times short or very reasonable.

First post updated with current availability.  For the moment we have a few black oak and black maple SubMersives (HP style) and just received some inventory of black maple SubMersive F2's with more in the queue.

First post updated with availability and current pricing now that all 2014 price adjustments are effective.

In the process of selling many more SubMersive F2's over the past 6 months we have been able to polish the process and run higher quantities.  I've decided to pass some of this savings on to customers and further close the gap between the HP & F2 style.  Effective today, the premium for the F2 style SubMersive cabinet is $200 (previously $250).  While "only $50," it does make for a $100 savings on the F2+ & F2-slave pair.  We have quietly offered this price to customers over the past two weeks, but this pricing is not retro-active and only applies to orders place after March 31st, 2014.

I have a handful of non-stock F2 cabinets I will be posting some offers for separately, but we have 2 red cherry and 5 espresso cherry F2 cabinets which have all 3 amplifier locations where the side (unused) locations will have the cover plates installed.  The current cover plates are cleaner and smoother than our originals.  I will be selling these for $100 less than black maple/oak F2s (only $100 more than HP style).  This is a $300 savings over a standard red or espresso cherry F2.  Any amplifier type or slave plate can be loaded into any of these F2s.  Example: red/espresso SubMersive F2 (3 amp version) with pre-owned 2400W amplifier = $2095 + shipping, F2+ = $2795 + shipping.

First post updated with black maple SubMersive HP cabinets back in stock.  Espresso cherry HP's will be back in stock this week, Rosenut HP's next week, and black maple F2's by the time we return from RMAF 2014 (black oak F2's are in stock).

So if the Black Oak F2's are in stock then there is no reason you can't send me a replacement for my defective cab like you said you would 6 months ago ????

And, since you refuse to respond to email's or messages (again now six months since you bothered to respond), you could also just give me my money back for the 2 Cat 8C's that you forgot to include in the delivery with the rest of the order back in March (something like 13 months probably since that was paid.)

It's currently 1am in Chicago, but I will email you in the morning. I absolutely did drop the ball on this, but I have also not had an email or voice message on this in well over a month. It was not an intentional oversight, and we'll get the speakers out.

You are right, on all accounts.

I have not emailed you in a month, I have however email you once a month. I did not want to hassle you, and figured you would get back to me in time, but after the last 5 emails (months) without reply, this month obviously needed a different approach.

Ultimately Mark, all I wanted was some info to know I hadn't been forgotten, or just left in the cold. Anyway, I'll wait to hear from you tomorrow with some definite plans to rectify this situation.

I just want to update my comments here that my replacement cabinet arrived asap and it was an easy, painless, process to swap drivers and amps across. Thanks Mark

After a few weeks of waiting we are now caught up on orders for black maple SubMersive HP and F2 variants, with these back in stock along with black maple Catalyst 12Cs & 8Cs.

The stock status listed after each finish above has been updated.
