With our 10th anniversary and so many products in our customer's hands, I have decided to update our Warranty Policy.  3 years sounds like a reasonably long time when you are first shipping a product out the door, but knowing how our products tend to be in systems for a very long time and talking to customers who purchased in 2010-2012, I feel we will have less grey area with any warranty costs making things more clear while offering a longer service period.  

This new policy applies to all future warranty claims and for all new items received after March of 2010.  This warranty extension does not apply to SubMersive models sold with pre-owned amplifiers.

Continental US Customers:

Seaton Sound warrants its products to be free of original manufacturer defect for a period of 5 years from the delivery date of the product.  Not covered by this warranty is cosmetic damage, damage from improper use, accidents, abuse, misuse, acts of nature, or unauthorized modifications.  Seaton Sound will repair or replace the warranty item with a refurbished or new part at our discretion.

Within the first 2 years of this warranty, Seaton Sound will cover round trip, standard ground shipping costs of the part under warranty.  Expedited shipping is always available at the customer's expense.  After the 2 year period we only ask customers to cover shipping costs.


International customers and those outside of the continental US:

No cost to international customers within 120 days of receipt:
Within the first 120 days of this warranty, Seaton Sound will cover round trip, economy shipping costs of the part under warranty.  Customer is responsible for any applicable duties and taxes.  Expedited shipping is always available at the customer's expense.  After the 120 day period we ask customers to cover all shipping costs.

One of the significant contributors to allowing this to work is our amplifiers all being assembled and either fully or mostly manufactured in the US.  While many Chinese amplifiers end up getting replaced if something goes wrong, ours are repaired directly by the company who built them.  Especially with the larger HP, HP+ and i+ amplifiers, the extensive microprocessor controlled monitoring of various circuits and conditions make it very unlikely that repair costs are all that significant compared to the cost of a new amplifier.  Even once past the 5 year period, I have yet to see a repair cost that was more than $300, with most being $75-200.  Unlike the ICEpower based amplifiers, being a proprietary design manufactured from the circuit board level up here in the US has significant benefits with long term serviceability.  

As we approach 9 years since the very first SubMersives were delivered it is very satisfying to know the first units are still going strong. [thumb]
