I have been reading all the posts and user reviews. This week one of my power amps died and now Im considering a major move to the catalysts instead of replacing the amp. I am interested in a 5.1 system with either 3 catalysts and 2 sparks for surrounds or an all catalyst system.

My current system Theta CBIII, Oppo Blu-ray, custom speakers with 10 drivers per speaker made for me by a company that has since departed, Aragon 8008BB amp. My current speakers are 94dB efficient and dynamic but they have open backs and are not the best for my current room.

I live in eastern NC and I would really love to hear these speakers. I am willing to travel if necessary but I was hoping that there might be a setup within driving range that I could experience. This is too large of a purchase to make without a demo.

I have a similar situation.  I already have 4 SubMersives but am interested in hearing the Catalyst.  There is a guy in Macon, Georgia who has all of the products that you (and I) are interested in but his theater will not be complete until sometime in November.

I realize Macon is not exactly next door to you and maybe Mark has someone closer.

If someone is near an airport that has non-stop flights from Raleigh that would probably be a more realistic trip for me.

You might want to come to the Detroit area.  There are a variety of people in the area with Submersives and other Seaton sound products.

I think Itai still has the Catalysts with his Teraform's.

Let me twist Mark's arm some.
I'm right in Apex.

Hah, sorry to someone who emailed me about a demo in NC.
Mark doesn't even have a permanent set for himself currently.  Everything he's building is going to very excited customers.

From what i've gathered the Catalysts are a very safe blind buy , you just need to determine if they will fit into your HT and if you can use so much speaker.  If its yes and yes, then get buying because the Catalysts will likely be the best speakers you have ever heard for both movies and music.

The only thing holding me back from a set of Catalysts is $$$$, and its not that I don't have the funds , I am just a tightwad and a hard core cheapskate.
