You may want to check here (http://www.seaton-sound-forum.com/post/three-catalyst-12c-speakers-for-sale-8206576?trail=300#12) post number 10 for a more realistic price.  Bet of luck in your efforts.

Yeah I saw that, he actually pm-ed me when I put my Cats up for sale. He said he it was hard to stomach letting them go for $7,000 and that somebody else sold a pair on these forums for $5,500 as well, so what people can get seems to vary. Depends on timing and finding the right person. I'm not willing to part with them for 7k, but my price is negotiable. More so if somebody buys the sparks as well. I'm not in a rush to sell, but if anybody wants to save some money on a full seaton set up (minus submersives) in like new condition, this is were to get them.

Don't rub it in lmao. My loss, their gain (whoever buys them). Still not even an offer, I'm surprised.

Take shipping out of the equation, then the asking price is $7,000. If you're reasonably local, I'm willing to meet somebody halfway to save them more money.

I know, finally lol. Only thing is I have a big challenge ahead of me. I live on Long Island and have to ship them to CA lol.

I bought these to ship them in, I got a ton of bubble wrap. Any other pointers on how to get them there safely is surely welcomed.

Congrats on finding a new home for the speakers.

Unless you are shipping them on a pallet, I'd save the money spent there and get the boxes from us.  At minimum cut some styrofoam or polyethylene pieces to fully fill the small ends.  A lot of bubble wrap densely wrapped might work on the sides, but don't even bother on the ends where you have 115 lbs on a small area.  In a box of that strength and those dimensions you're likely at a 70% likelihood of damage if shipped by package. The best bet is foam on all 6 sides.  We place soft foam sheeting between the grill and speaker to insure the grill doesn't scratch the face of the speaker in shipping.  If nothing is there it usually will scratch.  If you buy the packing from us, we can likely help ship the packed speakers for about $125 per speaker through our FedEx account.

Thanks! They're going to a good home for sure, and the new owner will be contacting you for either Submersive's or F18's in the future [smile]

Yeah I was planning on wrapping the hell out of it, I want them to get their in the same condition they leave here in. I bought the boxes and bubble wrap already.

Thanks for the offer to use your FedEx account! $125 a speaker is great! My only question is, how much for all the packing materials? I think you messaged me once with the quote. It was on the pricey side. What would you say the total would be for everything? I'll present the information to the buyer and see what he wants to do. We have an agreement that I'll pay up to $500 for shipping. If the total isn't too much more than that, he's willing to cover the rest.

Looking up and updating the shipping quote we sent you previously ($75 each +shipping), the packing would be $435 delivered to your home in 2 business days.

Okay so $435 plus $125 per speaker would be a total of $810. I'll present the info to the buyer.

I HIGHLY recommend you buy the packing material from Mark and use those.  Anything else will be less than stellar.
