Would an F18 or submersive integrate well with 2 MFW-15 turbos? Plan on using one sub output to combine the two MFW-15s in the front corners and use the 2nd sub output for the new sub. The new sub will be behind the listening position. This all depends on whether or not they play well together.

I'm far from an expert here, but I'll dive in to give you something to go on. Most of this is coming from Mark, minus whatever I've forgotten and plus whatever I misunderstood. He's usually pretty quick on the boards but I'm guessing he's still dealing with all the Axpona unpacking and assorted aftermath.

Short answer-it's not ideal.
The issue is the ported MFWs vs the sealed F18/Submersive. The sealed subs will have a smooth roll off in the low end while the other will peak at the frequency the port is tuned to. First reaction: can't I just correct the different responses into submission with a MiniDSP or something? Sort of. The other issue is that the response from the port will be mildly out of phase, making setup a lot more challenging.
Short answer #2- when I asked Mark pretty much the same thing he briefly made a face like he was having war flashbacks and the subtext was pretty much "you could, but you don't want to...trust me." Granted, he's something of a perfectionist with these things.

The solution is clearly selling me the MFWs for cheap and going with dual F18s or Submersives
