Hi guys

Just wondering if any of you have had any trouble getting audyssey multeq XT to run with your submersive. I am running JTR speakers all round and a single submersive (original). Whenever I try to run audyssey calibration i keep getting a 'subwoofer - error' message under 'speaker detection error'. All other speakers are picked up fine.

Reading around it seems some are getting this message due to their auto-on function cutting out some of the early chirps or because gain on the sub is too high/too low. However, it seems the submersive is always on (am I correct?) and I have tried with various gain settings and nothing works.

I also read that you can get this message if your sub produces very high frequencies (for a sub). Is it possible that this is the problem? If it is I would think others using audyssey would also be getting the error.

I am all out of ideas.

The really frustrating thing is that I have got it to work a couple of times in the past with no error but now nothing seems to help.

I appreciate any feedback.

Cheers,
Ollie

I know for my Marantz calibration, I have to run the sub about 6db hot for it to be detected by the marantz mic. Make sure the crossover knob is turned up to to 150Hz, and bump up the gain a bit and see if that works.
