First off,
Thank you Mark and fugueness for helping me making the decision to buy Cats LCRs.
I do have some question though.
Since i will be placing ALL 3 cats on theirs side, I just want to know that is there a preferred side to place up?
Is there any different (sonically) between Grill on.... grill off?

Hi Chayut,
You Catalysts are being built alongside many others this week. The speakers are symmetrical, so there is no proper or preferred "top" when set on side. It is mostly a question of where the power connector and XLR cables plug in.
It's always a little better with grills off, but it's not a huge difference.
Thank you again for your business.

Congrats on the new Cats.
Interesting, at one time, I too considered horizontal placement of all three LCR's,..Catalyst's at that. I have a unique scenario in my our family HT/media room,..whereby I gave strong consideration to going horizontal with all three mains due to a doorway at the front end of the space. I've since come up a work-around.
Can you share with us your reason for horizontal orientation?

Hi FOH
The reason I go with horizontal placement is to hide all LCR speakers and subs ( just like in movie theater).
But since I did not go AT route, I will place all LCRs at the bottom of screen in stead in which I have something like fake wall to hide all the speakers.
Mark also has response in another thread regarding the horizontal placement ans he said that it should be fine ( I guess you have read the thread already.
