I was out of town on vacation, New Orleans for French Quarter Fest( 20+ free music stages all over the quarter

I will drop you an email in the next few hrs when I get home from work.

Short answer is a few weeks before I see drivers.

Another MFW-15 awaiting new life!

I thought my Sub was destined to become an expensive end table, until I found this thread.

Can't wait! E-mail sent.

I assume these kits are still in production, yes?

When I got on the list mid-April, they were waiting for another batch of the drivers. ETA was a "few weeks" back then, so I surmise that they can't promise very tight timelines. I checked with sandbagger in mid May, and he wasn't aware of any updates.

I suspect it has something to do with it being a custom job with not much volume. You'd probably have to order in small batches, or risk surplus stock that you have to take a loss on. This thread is full of people waiting quite a while.

FWIW, I bought someone's broken gloss moho MFW-15 and stuck an old 70w plate amp I had laying around. I power the sub at low volumes for music... and it actually works surprisingly well. I can totally imagine that a $150/$200 subwoofer amp woud get your sub up and running again. I'll try to repair the v3 amp it came with. If I can repair it and the turbo kit ships, I'll have a spare v2 cap fix amp for anyone who doesn't want to spring for the turbo.

We actually ordered much larger quantities this time since lead times from the vendor have been so unpredictable.  They always do arrive and perform very well, but "when" is generally a guess.  Anyone want to get into driver manufacturing?  We were told we'll see the drivers arrive late next week, so we're figuring 3-4 weeks is a safer guess, but only time will tell.  We'll have more than enough for everyone who has contacted Kevin about ordering, but it might take a short while to catch up with the list once they arrive.

Thanks Mark -- we're all very appreciative of all the effort you've gone through. I have no complaints (I hope it didn't come across that way!). Supply chain is tricky, thanks for keeping us posted.

Did anyone else feel a COLD blast of air? something may be freezing over [eek]

Just received a pallet of drivers.

Still going to take some time to build up amps and get things ready to ship but now I have parts.

I am still moving a bit slow after getting my chest cracked open and not lifting anything heavy [frown] as in 32lb amp boxes and 45lb driver boxes.

That's fantastic news!  [thumb]

If you weren't 2351 miles away, I'd offer to join the unboxing party!  I'm definitely looking forward to hearing how progress goes - but don't kill yourself [nono]

Got drivers in about a week ago, in the process of building amps up and will be shipping late this week or early next.  Just waiting on face plates to come back from the CNC cutting.

If your not on the wait list now would be a good time to email me

KITS IN STOCK

Going to bump this up as I now have a few kits in stock.  With many more drivers on the way

I am in the process of contacting everyone that has ever been on the wait list.  Once you have been emailed I will not be contacting anyone on the list again.  it will simply be email me and purchase unless we get to the point were I need to create a list again.

I don't think I've missed any emails, so perhaps you have me confused with someone else? Either way, I've sent you my shipping address for a shipping quote. LMK if you don't get it?

I'm interested in resurrecting my failed mfw-15 with a turbo, how do I go about ordering one?

Just got my Turbo upgrade kit and will be doing the conversion in the next few days. Is there any lining or stuffing material I should put inside the sub cabinet that will improve sonics, such as polyfill, etc? If so how much should I use?

No real need to add any as long as there is some in there to begin with, some never got any.

Completed the Turbo upgrade, and it went well. Very nice kit, quality parts, amp and driver are heavy duty beasts! Have not done a lot of critical listening, but will say that so far I am impressed and the Turbo seems to be tighter and punchier than my other stock MFW. I forgot how much I like dual subs since my old MFW amp died. Two really balance the bass out in my room.

Question, in the past I have set both subs at the same db level with my sound meter. Should I bump up the Turbo a few db's above my other stock MFW to let the more capable Turbo carry more of the bass load, or set them at them at the same levels?

Just completed the Turbo upgrade on Saturday on my Rosewood MFW-15. Everything went extremely smoothly and fit perfectly... I'm very impressed with the kit and the high quality parts.  Only one minor injury to a fingernail that got pinched while dropping in the driver (it's a heavy beast!), but totally worth the pain in the end. [smile]

It's been nearly two years since I've had a working subwoofer, and the Turbo upgrade immediately made me forget all the headaches and frustrations I had with the stock MFW-15 and it's crappy internal amplifier.

Thank you Kevin and Mark for all the help and support in getting this together!
