New Rosenut finish:

Our new Vintage Cherry veneer option is a very good match for what I see many offering as "American Cherry" or just "cherry" finish such as with Klipsch, Aerial Acoustics, and many others (better photos coming):

Two pictures of the flat/standard black finish added to the first post.  We are continuing to refine this finish, but this is the replacement for the original textured black paint finish.  If anyone has a specific need to match an original SubMersive we can still source them if needed with a 3-5 week lead time.  Acoustic performance remains the same for all versions.

Thank you!

New Red Cherry stain option added to the 2nd post above.  We went back and forth with a few stain suppliers many times to finally get a red that didn't take on any orange or purple hue, just a bold, but still natural looking, red.  This finish looks even more interesting in person as it interacts with sunlight a bit more than the rest.  All of the finishes shown for the SubMersive are available on the Catalysts as well.

Comparison pictures can be very hard to take given the variables in computer monitors and even how different lighting interacts with different colors.  I had pulled both finishes out to the dock on a sunny day giving one look at the comparison.  On my own monitor I would say the Merlot finish (on the left) looks a bit less brown than what I see in this picture, but it is pretty close in what you see between the two:
