Hello All

I need some help in selecting speakers for my Atmos Install. I currently have Cat 12C as LCR and Sparks as my Surround

I am looking at 4 in ceiling speakers either Martin Logan EM-R or Monitor 380. What would you all suggest.

I would have gone with all season but want to keep my cost down.

Thank you.

Not sure how much those speakers you mentioned cost, but what about the JTR Slanted 8HT?

Hello

I had Slanted 8's for surround before getting Sparks. I unfortunately cannot use them for atmos as they were not intended for inciting install.

Cheers

I would go to AVSForum.  There are a lot of discussions there on options for ceiling speakers...but be careful who you listen to.  Lots of supposed experts.

We'll have multiple options available to purchase by Axpona in April.  Sparks are a great option if you have room to surface mount them with the intended U-Bracket which puts the speaker at a maximum extension of 7-10" from the surface, but with 8' ceilings and some room configurations and risers this just isn't practical.  We have a much lower profile option in the works to be shown at Axpona.  Don't expect to see much info until the first production run.

Mark

I can surface mount them and use some space from my attic to achieve this. Is there any way you can sell me these. What is the pricing for the same?

Cheers

For ceiling speakers i would go with Logan EM-R. Like typical MartinLogan product, the sounds feel really great and clear.  The only problem that i got is the bass, the bass is seems pretty too much but i am supposed to change few settings on the receiver. Don't know what to do because i am still learning now.

Since the poster who was asking about Atmos speakers already has Seaton speakers, to go with Martin Logan would make no sense since Mark has speakers that can be used for this application.

Hello All

I am unable to get Sparks (passive version) from Mark yet. In the mean time, I was able to acquire 4 sparks that came on sale on AVS. I am planning to figure out a way to install this through my attic space. I have enough space in the attic to walk around and do this. Have any one else done this and any comments or pictures will be welcome.

Cheers
